Welfare facilities for the industry

Workplace health and safety regulations specify the regulations for welfare facilities that must be provided for the staff to use on construction sites. Employers must provide welfare units and portable toilets that are: equipped with all sanitation conveniences (hand soap, paper towels, toilet paper) clean and maintained, regularly checked for safety in adequate numbers considering numbers of staff separate for male and female use whenever possible to do so. Changing rooms and lockers for private possessions  Whenever your staff are required to change into specialist uniforms, separate male and female changing rooms must be available (with lockable doors). Appropriate seating must be provided within each unit. Lockable lockers should be available for storage of personal items. Also, drying facilities for work clothing should be found on site.
